I’ve been completely enjoying my participation in a few recent projects with the fabulous ensemble Constantinople.

‘The Golden Door’ is a program of beautiful music inspired by the great city of Istanbul, featuring Pierre-Yves Martel, viola da gamba, Kiya Tabassian, setar & voice, Neva Özgen, kemençe (Turkey), Didem Basar, qanun, Kyriakos Kalaitzidis, oud (Greece) and the fabulous singer Yaprak Sayar (Turkey). We performed in Montreal and in Toronto at the new Ismaili Centre.

Kiya, Pierre-Yves and I also performed with the virtuoso Basque guitarist and lutinist Enrike Solinís for four concerts in Zurich, Bern, Frankfurt and Gothenburg, hosted by the Mediterrenean Music Festival.

And finally there is Śūnya, a wonderful, multidisciplinary collaboration with Sinha Danse– we’ll be on tour again in BC and Ontario in November of 2015.
