Spring Update

SWProject enjoys tacos in Zacatecas.

Much to report…

Small World Project has been especially busy this spring, with concerts in Zacatecas (Mexico), Vancouver, Burnstown (ON), and New York city at the Uke Fest. We’ll be hitting a number of stages over the summer, including for more performances of our live soundtrack to the animated film, The Adventures of Prince Achmed. Check-out the video clip here, and stay tuned because we are planning to release a live CD of the soundtrack!

Bomata has released a new CD, Âromes d’ailleurs, and the band will be performing a number of shows over the coming months, including at the Montreal International Jazz Festival and the Guelph Jazz Festival.

Busy season for CDs- New release by Michael Reinhart, and four (yup!) upcoming recordings of projects by La Nef: Claire Gignac’s project Isles, Trobairitz with Shannon Mercer, Notes de Chevet, and a children’s book-CD, Tsuki.

Trifolia (with Marianne Trudel and Etienne Lafrance) is gearing-up for an ambitious cross-Canada tour, celebrating the release of our first CD, Le refuge. The tour starts on June 18th in Whitehorse, followed by Salt Spring Island, Victoria, Vancouver, Kelowna, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, the Montreal International Jazz Fest, Halifax and St. John’s, Newfoundland. See details on my calendar and look-out for us on the road this summer!
