Third in the series of short, improvised solos, this one is entitled ‘Skin, Brush, Stone, Bronze’. The okedo-daiko featured in the video was made by Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten. The video was recorded March 15th, at Timpano Percussion Studio.
The second video in my playlist of improvised solos, recorded February 11, 2016, is called ‘A Song of Liquid Measures’. This short piece features the clay udu (made by Schlagwerk) and water-tuned porcelain bowls. A quiet listening space and headphones are recommended.
