I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Didem Başar, very talented composer and Turkish kanun player, for several years now, in her own ensemble and with various other groups, including numerous projects with ensemble Constantinople. This duet, Current Yesterday, was composed by her.
We recorded the piece on August 12th, 2020, at the Centre des musiciens du monde, Montréal. Many thanks to them for their support.
