The end of 2017 is nigh and it has been a busy season…

New Video | Back in October 2017, Constantinople premiered a new collaboration with stellar clarinetist/ composer Kinan Azmeh, originally from Syria, now in New York. It was tremendously rewarding artistically and personally to perform this music with such a fine group of people, including Kiya Tabassian, Pierre-Yves Martel and Didem Basar.
A beautiful new promo video is now online (directed by J-F Martel). There is also a playlist of live tracks from our concert tour in October here on SoundCloud. We’ll most certainly be touring in 2018 and beyond, so stay tuned.

Review | Constantinople performed with wonderful soprano Suzie LeBlanc as part of the Music Before 1800 concert series in New York city in December. Virtually all of the music I am involved with is ignored by the media so I have to admit that it’s gratifying to get noticed once-in-a-while in a positive light. Here is the review of our concert from the New York Classical Review.

With Suzie LeBlanc & Branford Marsalis

Branford Marsalis! | This was kind of big for me. On our way to NYC, Suzie LeBlanc and I bumped into Branford at YUL. I spent years with his kick-ass, inspirational music on my speakers and in my headphones, so it was a real thrill to chat with him briefly before our flights. A gentleman and a musical giant.
